A Different Beet

I thought I’d share with all of you what’s been going on the past few months and some changes to my blogging life coming soon : )

I have been back and forth with starting a nutrition course for some years now. There have been other goals I’ve been reaching and other things in life that kept me from moving forward with it back then. I continued to learn what I could through my own health, but now I’ve bit the bullet and began!

I started my Nutrition and Wellness Consultant Certification course about a week and a half ago and am loving every minute of it! I’m going through AFPA Fitness. So far so good! I’m loving what I’m learning and can’t wait to use it. With that being said…

Moving to a New Blog

A few months ago when I decided I was going to do this I started to create and get ready for a new blog: A Different Beet! I can’t wait to get this started! The first post is set for September 24, 2018, but the About and My Story page are up and ready.

The recipes I’ll be sharing are a lot of the recipes I’ve shared with you already just to get it started, but some I’ve redone to make sure they are healthier choices or will have added nutritional benefits. Plus getting some better pictures. I’m an aesthetic person, so improving on my picture skills was a must and I’m still learning. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Here are some of the first redone recipes recipes and pictures coming in September/October: Hatch Green Chili Enchiladas, Creamy Hidden Veggie Macaroni, & Amelie’s Wheat Germ Pancakes!

Meal plans will be coming in 2019 and I want to specifically cater to people and families as a whole dealing with food allergies or differing diets like my family. Between food allergies and me being plant based and my husband not, our meals are sometimes really interesting to say the least. If you read My Story on the new blog, you’ll see even more why that specifically calls to me.

The Name: A Different Beet

It seems like everyone and every family has their unique beat when it comes to meal time. Food allergies, goals, dietary needs, etc. can complicate meals for families and making sure everyone has a nutritious meal no matter the “beat”. I always had a different beat with my meals compared to my family and continues even now. So I decided to call it “A Different Beet”.

The Shared Skillet’s Life

The Shared Skillet definitely was there when I needed it, and it helped get the basics of blogging out of the way for me. Along with it just being plain fun! However, I won’t be posting anymore on this blog. Most of the recipes will be transferred over and updated to the new blog, so there isn’t a reason to keep this blog live. I will be shutting it down by the end of the year.

Thank you to all of you who have followed The Shared Skillet and I hope to see you on A Different Beet!
