Purple Coleslaw

This recipe is great as a stand alone side dish, but it will be linked to my Shrimp/Hearts of Palm Tacos that I’ll be posting soon!

Purple Coleslaw

  • Servings: 4-6

Most coleslaw recipe uses green cabbage, but purple cabbage is pretty! Oh, and it more nutrient dense then green cabbage.


  • 1/2 head of purple cabbage, shredded
  • 1 c shredded carrots
  • 1/2 c cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic
  • juice of 1 orange (1/4 – 1/2 c)
  • 1/4 c lime juice
  • 1 tbsp agave
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • S & P


  1. Add cabbage, carrots, cilantro, and garlic to medium mixing bowl. In a cup mix together dressing – orange juice, lime juice, agave, cumin, and olive oil.
  2. Add dressing to coleslaw and mix together. Add S & P to taste.
